BOSTON, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Eating whole fruit -- especially blueberries, grapes and apples -- was correlated with a lower risk of type 2 diabetes, U.S. researchers say.
Agnesian HealthCare's Diabetes Services has scheduled a support group for adults with diabetes who are using an insulin pump on Tuesday, September 10. This group meets every odd month on the second Tuesday (except for July).
Eating more whole fresh fruit, especially blueberries, grapes, apples and pears, is linked to a lower risk of type 2 diabetes, but drinking more fruit juice has the opposite effect, says a study.
